If you missed the beginning of this series, be sure to start at the beginning.
On the fifth day of Valentines, my true love gave to me… a walk down memory lane.
One of my and Brian’s favorite date conversations is to walk down memory lane – especially the early days of our relationship. We like to reminisce how we met, when we started being “into” each other, and when we knew we were in love with each other. It’s a story we never get tired of hearing or telling, because it is how we became us.

So after the kids are in bed tonight, pour a glass of wine and invite your sweetheart to stroll down memory lane with you. Ask questions as if it is the first time you’re hearing his version of the story, and don’t leave any details out when you tell your view of the events.
Some questions to get conversation rolling could include:
-
What did you think or feel the first time you saw your spouse?
-
What initially attracted you to him/her?
-
What made you finally decide to give him/her a chance?
-
Who knew about your relationship? Who didn’t know?
-
When did you first know you loved him/her?
-
When did you first tell him/her that you were in love? How was it received?
-
When did you know he/she was “the one?”
-
Were you surprised when he proposed, or did you see it coming?
-
What preparations did he make and how did he keep his proposal a secret?
I’m sure there are a hundred more, but that should at least get you started. What is your favorite memory of the early days with your husband?
